The New Black prove that love (for music) truly is blind.

We’ve all been there before… sitting through crappy band after crappy band waiting for the one that you came to see to finally come on.  It is a rare treat that one comes along and is actually good, enter The New Black.  This band from NYC is high energy and will rock their set from one end of the stage to the next with blazing guitar riffs.

One thing does set this band apart from the others, their lead guitarist, Gabe, is blind.  You would never guess it listening to their music because Gabe is a truly talented musician and absolutely shreds!  Every band faces its own struggles but most don’t have to deal with the devastating blow of a car accident that results in a member losing his vision.  But The New Black have taken tragedy and turned it into something that sets their band apart from the rest.

Singer Dan, guitarists Gabe and LJ, bassist Daryl and drummer Jay all combine forces to give a high energy performance and sound.  Their debut album Within A Dream made its debut back in 2008 and got The New Black national attention on both radio and TV with their song “The Light”.  They are currently back in the studio working on fresh material and we are very excited for its release.   Be sure to visit them on Facebook (The New Black).
